"Baby Girl"

STORYLINE: The relationship of two sisters is tested when a man comes between them. Following the tragic death of their parents, each other is all that they have. Both survivors of sexual abuse, they develop an even stronger bond when they learn they have both been victimized by a father that they loved so much.
PAULA- An attractive, 22 year old, Senior, college student- bright, intelligent and motivated. Her inner strength, sensitivity and affection for others is unmatched. She is raising Star, her baby sister, who was placed in her custody following the tragic death of their parents.
STAR- 17, Paula's baby sister- pretty, bright and outgoing, Star came to live with her sister after the tragic death of her parents. Almost 18, she decides to buck the system and rebel against her sister when she falls in love with Juno. They are half-sisters.
JUNO- 22, streetwise, handsome, charming and first cousin to Glo. A bit immature, he likes younger girls. He will rock Star's world. He has lots of rough edges. His father ran him out of town with his shotgun. He is the nightmare of every mother with a daughter at home.
GLO- 22, Glo and Paula have been friends since they enrolled as freshmen. Glo admires Paula's strength and courage. She worries about her wayward cousin and his liking to young girls.
FRANKLIN- 22, Glo's man, funny and a brainiac. Likeable but has a roving eye for food and girls. Glo takes exception to both.
LEON- 23, is Paula's rock. A steady fella' who will protect and defend.
MELVIN- The only guy that Star allows in her space. He is every young girls dream, warm, sensitive, patient, understanding and loyal. Star is crazy about Melvin and, although, they have been close friends since the ninth grade, Melvin has never asked Star to be his girl.
TONYA- Star's hommie. The two are like sisters. Tonya emulates Star in many ways and tries very hard to match her drive and ambition. She is a little more grounded than Star and focused on forward objectives.
