JUDYANN ELDER most recently guest-starred on television opposite James Garner and Joe Montegna in the CBS Supreme Court drama, FIRST MONDAY. She took over the lead role of Harriette Winslow opposite Reginald VelJohnson in the popular series, FAMILY MATTERS, for it’s final season. She captured the hearts of mothers-in-law everywhere with her continuing role as Nadine Waters, Gina’s mother, on the hit show, MARTIN. Her recurring role on MURPHY BROWN as Candace Bergen’s dry-witted obstetrician, Dr. Mary Barton, endures as on of her most memorable. Ms. Elder’s debut television guest appearance was as Lamont’s girlfriend on SANFORD AND SON and her career has spanned the years to include innumerable guest star roles on such shows as THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO, ST ELSEWHERE, THE WHITE SHADOW, LOU GRANT, BENSON, WEBSTER, BEVERLY HILLS 90210, STAR TREK, IN THE HOUSE, HOME IMPROVEMENT, MAD ABOUT YOU, THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW, FAMILY LAW and BECKER, to name only a fraction. Ms. Elder has been featured in an array of made for television movies such as THE RIGHT TO DIE with Rachuel Welch and A WOMAN CALLED MOSES with Cicely Tyson. Her more recent feature film appearances include Ice Cube’s THE PLAYERS CLUB, DEAD MAN ON CAMPUS, THE PEST, and FORGET PARIS opposite Billy Crystal. This is merely a snapshot of a long and colorful resume on this lovely actress. Her work in theatre and film are equally impressive. She has logged countless hours as a director, writer and producer. A Theatre Arts Major at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, Ms. Elder received the Carol Burnett Award in the Performing Arts upon graduation. She is.... as I would like to say, A PROFESSIONAL DIVA. I am continually impressed with Judyann’s style and overwhelming beauty.
