"WAITIN' 2 END HELL"
CHARACTERS- 4 MALES / 3 FEMALES
DIANE JONES- Late Thirties, early forties, an Advertising Executive for one of the countries top firms. Diane is fine, intelligent and ambitious. She is an Alpha-female and the truth is that only a man with Dante’s balance would do for her. Only, she doesn't realize that. A man quick to anger would have lasted all of two days in the marriage and a man too soft would be an emblem on the doormat. She is definitely the new breed and she has an appetite for intelligent, handsome men.
All of that said, she is a loving mother.... Just don't expect fried chicken, mashed potatoes and home made biscuits on Sunday.
ROLE PLAYED BY: Marva Hicks...
DANTE JONES- Early forties, a Parole agent, handsome, intelligent and stuck between the ol’ skool values of the 60's / 70's... and the reforms of the new Millennium. He’s got a pair of Stacy Adams in the closet that are older than his first born. He drives the old car and believes that the family should dine together in the evenings. Quite simply, the wife and kids come first. Dante, Jr, laughs at his fathers ol' skool ways. He says that his father acts more like his grandfather, who seems to accept change better than Dante. Although, he cooks, cleans and helps with home work, he still believes that there are certain roles that men and women should play in the household. Dante is a loving father.... but make no mistake about it, he's the man of his house.
SHAY- DIANE’S HOMEGIRL- Late thirties, early forties, a two time divorcee. She is our sister, mother, cousin or aunt. The one you want to help find a good man. Only problem is.... deep in your heart, you know that even if she found one, he wouldn't last long. She's just too much woman for most men. Shay is as sweet as cotton candy and would fix you a peach cobbler with her last cup of flour. But she just don’t have no luck when it comes to pickin’men. It’s all about Shay these days. She is single and lovin’ it. Yet, she vows that she would trade it all in for the right brotha'...

ALVIN- DANTE’S BEST FRIEND AND CO-WORKER- Early forties, definitely a man's man. The kind a brotha' every man wants as a friend. He's gonna always give it to you straight. It’s rumored that Alvin ran his first wife off with all of that macho stuff. They say he once went an entire week without eatin' because he refused to fix his own plate. He divorced his first wife, went out and married an Asian woman because her traditional ways seemed more agreeable with his mean, chauvinististic demands.

ANGELA- ALVIN’S WIFE, DIANE’S FRIEND- Thirties, every man's fantasy. Not only is she fine and sexy but hard working, intelligent and accepting of her husband as the head of their union. Her first husband was abusive and left little room for her to grow as a woman. Alvin seems to be just what she needs. Manly, yes.... but smooth enough for this Asian beauty.
ROLE PLAYED BY: Open...
LARRY- SHAY’S FRIEND- Forties, a two time divorcee. You know this brotha'. Every family's got a Larry. Cool, funny, handsome and loving. He's the one you want to take with you to all of the functions. He's streetwise.... will beat a brotha down for crossin' him.... but, he just can't seem to pick a keeper.
Larry is always in trouble with the women. On top of that, the man is on his back because he's got Child support issues. He believes that all women are born manipulators and can't be trusted, yet, he’s always lookin’ for a woman.

MARK- Forties, handsome, daring and dangerous.
He is an attorney with the Ad-firm that Diane works for.
Quite simply, he is the man your wife fantasizes about when you are asleep. It’s not that she doesn’t love you....
I mean, chances are, she would never leave you for him...
It’s just that he makes her feel something that you don’t
anymore. Afterall, your wife works as hard as you. Doesn’t she deserve to have a little fun?
